This policy describes how the Git Flow GUI plugin ("Git Flow GUI") handles data. It is specific to Git Flow GUI; other Veryation products have their own policies.
Git Flow GUI makes no network connections of its own and sends nothing to Veryation. There is no telemetry, no analytics, and no usage reporting of any kind. We have no servers involved in running this plugin, and we receive no data from it.
Every operation, creating, merging, tagging, deleting and pushing branches, runs as a local Git command through your IDE's own Git integration. Git Flow GUI reads your repository's branch names and its .git/config in order to work. We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to your source code, commit history, branch names, repository URLs, or Git credentials. None of it leaves your computer.
The Publish action runs git push to the remote configured in your own repository, exactly as if you had typed the command yourself. The connection is between your machine and your Git host; Veryation is not involved and receives nothing.
If you use the optional "Start from Task" action, Git Flow GUI asks your IDE's built-in Task Management feature for your issue list. Your IDE then contacts the issue tracker you configured (for example GitHub, GitLab, Jira or YouTrack), using credentials your IDE already stores. Git Flow GUI ships no tracker connectors of its own, stores nothing, and reads only the issue identifier and summary in order to suggest a branch name. Veryation receives nothing.
If you contact us, by email, or via our public issue tracker, we process the information you choose to provide in order to respond and provide support. Please do not include credentials or private repository details in a public issue.
Git Flow GUI is distributed through the JetBrains Marketplace. JetBrains operates that marketplace and provides us with aggregate, non-identifying statistics such as download and install counts. That processing is governed by JetBrains' own privacy policy, not this one. Git Flow GUI is free, so there is no purchase, payment, or licensing data at all.
We do not sell your personal data, and Git Flow GUI contains no advertising.
We use the limited information above only to respond to support requests, to understand roughly how widely the plugin is used, and to comply with legal obligations.
We share information only with service providers who help us operate and distribute Git Flow GUI (the marketplace, our email provider, and our code-hosting provider), acting on our instructions, and where required by law.
We keep support correspondence only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete it. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, email support@veryation.com; we will action requests within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing (including under the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA). To exercise these rights, contact support@veryation.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
We are based in the United States. Where we process personal data of users in other regions, we do so consistent with applicable data-transfer requirements.
Git Flow GUI is intended for professional developers and is not directed to children under 16.
We may update this policy from time to time; we will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
